The Great Spirit (also known as the Lion in the Moon) is a male lion deity. He is worshipped by the lions of the Pride Lands.

Biography[]

After Simba's encounter with the hyenas, the cub was feeling shaken and upset, so Sarabi took him outside to see the moon. To calm her son, she sang him a lullaby about the Great Spirit.[1]

Physical appearance[]

The Great Spirit is a large lion with a flowing mane and a spotted muzzle. His eyes are white, and his nose is black.[2]
