It's no use trying to do something unless you are properly prepared. Be like the tortoise, not the leopard.

The Bees' Drum is a story from the Rafiki Remembers magazine collection. It was published in the 1990s as part of The Lion King: A Nature Fun and Learn Series.

Synopsis

A leopard attempts to steal the Bees' Drum. In his attempt, he gets stung. A tortoise next makes an attempt by asking to play the drum. The bees allow him, and whilst playing, the tortoise manages to hide the drum in his shell. Though the bees attempt to sting him, the tortoise is protected by his hard shell and succeeds in stealing the drum.
