It's a mole[]
I hate to bring this back up because it feels so trivial, but the August 1993 script (that was written by the film's two screenwriters) deliberately states that the character is a mole. Back in October, Jeana Marie asked for the change stating this script states the character is a gopher. The problem with that script is that it's fan made, and we should sticking to the creators' original vision as much as possible. I requested that the changes be reverted back to "The Mole". - I don't know much about this particular topic, but, judging by the page's history, it looks like the name has been disputed quite a bit.
