If we get everyone spooked about the beast, Zazu will hear about it and report it to Mufasa. Zazu will look silly for reporting it.
―Sukari[src]

Sukari is a male zebra.

Zazu the hornbill earned a notorious reputation for getting the Pride Landers in trouble with Mufasa. Sukari and his friends decided to play a prank on Zazu by feeding him false information and thus discrediting his reports. The plan initially worked, with Mufasa losing faith in his majordomo, but Zazu redeemed himself by warning the Pride Landers of a deadly army ant attack. Shamed by Zazu's heroism, Sukari and his friends confessed their dishonesty to Mufasa, then explained the ruse to their parents. Afterward, they helped Zazu gather information around the Pride Lands.

Biography[]

Early life[]

Sukari was born to Muwa. He lived in the Pride Lands. As a youngster, he often got told on by Zazu for various play schemes.[1]

Prank on Zazu[]

Mufasa searched hard, but he didn't blame Zazu for the wild-beast chase.
―Sukari[src]

Sukari and his mother, Muwa, joined a group of animals who were gossiping about Zazu. Though Sukari and his young animal friends attempted to give their input on Zazu's annoying antics, the parents shooed them away to play while they discussed the matter further. Once away from the adults, the young animals schemed to feed Zazu lies in order to get him in trouble with Mufasa. Enchanted by the idea, Sukari began to chase Nzuri around in excitement.

The young animals put their idea into play, but the plan ended up working too well, for Mufasa lost all faith in his majordomo. After a fearsome army ant attack, the children confessed to Mufasa all that they had done. Though Muwa was angry with her son for his foolishness, Mufasa was fair and instructed the young animals to help Zazu gather news from around the Pride Lands in order to rectify their earlier mistakes.[1]

Physical appearance[]

Sukari is a small and slender zebra colt. He has a black- and white-striped pelt.[1]

Personality and traits[]

Aw, come on. We're not going to hurt anyone.
―Sukari[src]

Mischievous and rambunctious, Sukari loves to goof off with his friends, even if their games venture into deceit and manipulation. Eventually, after he and his friends got Zazu in trouble with Mufasa, he learned not to lie and did his best to make up for his mistakes.[1]
