Career[]

Since he was a little boy, Gannaway has had a love for all things Disney and animation, as he was watching The Wonderful World of Disney.[1] When he was in second grade, he listed that he wanted to be a cartoonist, a veterinarian, or a magician.[1] He states that when working for Disney, he gets all the magic, all the drawings, and all the animals he can imagine all in one place.[1]

Gannaway began his animation career developing various projects at Walt Disney Feature Animation and transitioned to television when he began working at Hanna-Barbera, having written for the television series 2 Stupid Dogs and the first season of the show's segment Super Secret Secret Squirrel.[2] He was also a writer for the 1997 Warner Bros. animated film Cats Don't Dance.

A 20-year veteran for Disney animation, Gannaway has worked on several animated TV shows such as The Lion King's Timon & Pumbaa, 101 Dalmatians: The Series, Mickey Mouse Works, House of Mouse, Lilo & Stitch: The Series, The Emperor's New School, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Jake and the Never Land Pirates. He has also worked on several Disney films such as Mickey's Magical Christmas: Snowed in at the House of Mouse, Mickey's House of Villains, Stitch! The Movie, Leroy & Stitch, Secret of the Wings, The Pirate Fairy, and Planes: Fire & Rescue. Gannaway also serves as executive producer for the Disney+ original series Monsters at Work.[3]
