Nandembo Caverns is a location in the Pride Lands.
Nandembo Caverns is a series of underground tunnels that wind beneath the Pride Lands. Most of the rock is weathered and dark gray in color, with some tunnels being cramped and small, while others are large enough for a full-grown lion to travel through. Near the entrance to the cave, a giant ravine cuts the caverns in two.
When Bunga and Simba find themselves trapped in a sinkhole, they must travel through Nandembo Caverns in order to return home. Along the way, Bunga and Simba argue over which tunnels they should pick, with Bunga wanting to pick random tunnels, while Simba deliberates their every move. Exasperated with each other, the two go in opposite directions.
Once away from Bunga, Simba realizes that he has gone the right way, and he immediately goes back to tell Bunga. Meanwhile, Bunga begins to sing "Hakuna Matata", which Simba echoes, until the two converge in an open cavern. There, they share their experiences as Timon and Pumbaa's adoptive sons and reconcile with one another.
Together, Bunga and Simba travel through Nandembo Caverns until they reach a ravine, which cuts them off from Kion and the Lion Guard, who have brought Timon and Pumbaa with them. Just then, Simba gets an idea and, with Bunga on his back, jumps across the ravine. Once to safety, Bunga and Simba are greeted by Timon and Pumbaa.
