The Mooks are a race of Timon clones who were created by Dr. Screwloose.
When Dr. Screwloose's high school crush, Tiffany Taft, broke up with him for being rude, he decided to create a race of beings who were so obnoxious and rude that he would look polite by comparison. He took genetic material from Timon the meerkat and used it to create the Mooks. Eventually, Timon and his friend, Pumbaa, stumbled upon Mook Island, where Dr. Screwloose tried to use his Mooks to capture them and retrieve more DNA from Timon. However, the duo escaped to safety.

While in Paris, France, Dr. Screwloose found Timon and Pumbaa sitting at a French café, where he watched Timon act rudely to a waiter. The scientist pulled out a piece of Timon's DNA and created the Mooks. His goal was to create a race of beings who were so obnoxious and rude that he would look polite by comparison, as his rudeness had once angered his high school crush, Tiffany Taft. Unfortunately for Dr. Screwloose, the experiments did not go well because he had not taken enough genetic material from Timon in Paris.[1]
Skirmish with Timon and Pumbaa[]
The Mooks capture Timon and Pumbaa.
Because of Timon's rudeness, Timon and Pumbaa got thrown off a cruise ship. The two came across a tropical island, which Pumbaa found creepy. The duo soon ran into the Mooks, who kidnapped them and took them to a laboratory. There, they met Dr. Screwloose. Pumbaa tried to figure out what the clones reminded him of until he remembered what had happened years ago at a café in Paris, France. Dr. Screwloose explained that he had used Timon's hair to create an entire race of rude beings, which made Pumbaa realize that the clones were of Timon. The warthog wondered why Dr. Screwloose had wanted to clone Timon and create a race of rude beings, and the scientist described his first date with a girl named Tiffany Taft. He related how the date had gone wrong when he had been rude to their waitress, which had caused Taft to break up with him. He then informed the duo that he had created the Mooks so that he could look more polite in comparison to them.
Dr. Screwloose claimed that his experiment had not gone well, as he had not taken enough genetic material from Timon. He then proclaimed that he was planning on cloning the meerkat to create a new race of Supermooks. Timon confronted Dr. Screwloose by telling him that he would not let the scientist use his genes to treat people rudely.
The Mooks turn against Timon and Pumbaa after the former calls them "dumb mooks."
Timon freed himself from his trap and tried to escape the lab, but Dr. Screwloose sent the Mooks to capture him. Timon saw the clones following him and could not escape. He convinced the Mooks that he was their father and asked them to join him, which they did. He made the Mooks free Pumbaa from his trap, and the warthog was impressed by his niceness. However, when Timon called his clones "dumb mooks," they became angry and turned against the duo. Timon and Pumbaa then escaped the laboratory, with Dr. Screwloose and the Mooks in pursuit.
When Timon and Pumbaa got on the lifeboat and left Mook Island, Dr. Screwloose decided to start being nice to other people. He then ran off to have breakfast with Taft. Meanwhile, Pumbaa asked Timon if he had ever heard the phrase, "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." Timon said that he had not and added that the guy who had said it was a real mook.[1]
Physical appearance[]
The Mooks are gigantic, muscular versions of Timon. They have long limbs, deep chests, and ashen-gray fur. They also have pale gray underbellies and tufts of black hair on their heads. Their eyes are white and pupil-less.[1]
Personality and traits[]
Dr. Screwloose created the Mooks to be obnoxious and rude so that he would look polite by comparison. At one point, the Mooks teamed up with Timon, as he convinced them that he was their father and that they should join him. However, when he called them "dumb mooks," they became angry and chased him back to his lifeboat. They are known for only saying the word "mook."[1]
