  • Hi, Wereberues, it's ScarxZira here from Da. I have some exciting news about the Lion Guard! It's been confirmed that Nuka,Kovu,Vitani AND Zira will star in the "Lions of the Outlands episode" that airs on the 12th of November! https://m.facebook.com/DisneyTheLionGuard/photos/a.584860684978905.1073741830.513633128768328/934343300030640/?type=3&source=48&ref=page_internal

  • Lion King is apparently getting a Live Action CGI Reboot. Opinions?

  • I noticed that Scar and Mufasa don't have Ahadi and Uru listed as their parents, likely because their semi-canon. I was wondering how that makes any sense, especially if you're presenting their adolescent ages from the same book as canon in their image boxes.

If their parents aren't canon enough to be in the relation box, then their adolescent/young adult appearances should not be either. After all, all of it is just Alex Simmon/The Illustrators's take on it.

  • Those are pictures of Mheetu, y'know. Thom Enriquez, the artist himself, said he never drew any pictures of Simba. Look back in Mheetu's page history and you'll find it since evidently it's been deleted.

  • Funny how we argued over Pumbaa and Timon being Bungas UNCLES and not his fathers and about how Janjas clan were indeed outland Hyenas and I was blocked over trying to keep both even though it's common sense. And what do you know, i was right. Blocked for being correct.

    Hilarious.

    • a. They are his uncles. Nothing there has changed.

      b. At that point, it was conjecture. Anyway, it is still the same clan of hyenas. We just separated the pages so people can find more information on each generation of hyenas.

      c. You were blocked for being rude and disrespectful. This counts as another example, so please do not post any more on your message wall or that privilege will be blocked as well. Thanks.

  • Just so you guys are aware, Ginny has tried to contact me on dA and it looks like she's itching for "revenge" of some sort. Nothing serious, but you all know how she can be, so maybe keep an eye on it?

  • ...does this mean either Uru or Ahadi had an unnamed sibling and that Mohatu had an unnamed second child?

Also, FINALLY we have some answers about Nala's father. Though, honestly since I don't like the Lion Guard/think it's something Kiara dreamed up anyway, I'm not really taking it as canon.

    • Yes, and in my interpretation of the canon, there is no Kion and the Lion Guard tradition died before Uru's generation. It's all in Kiara's head and the adventures of the Lion Guard are just the imaginings of a sheltered only child.

I do it on this wiki because it's faster, easier, and you're more likely to see it (plus i dont want to annoyed other wikis with unrelated content). And I asked what legitimate concern is, not what it wasn't.

    • Great! Keep it in your head so you don't ruin it for the fans. :)

Honestly, you shouldn't be posting here at all. You're blocked, and it's not appropriate to be continuously leaving messages on your wall. If you don't like The Lion Guard, don't post about it. Simple.

I'm closing this thread. Please do not start another one, or I will block your posting rights. This has gotten out of hand.

  • Just curious: would you prefer references to refer directly to primary source where the information can be viewed directly by the reader themselves or would you prefer a citation, which would tell the reader what book it's in, what page in the book, the author, publisher, ect. but not actually have the physical page available.

I'm asking because the Admins of the AVP Wikia prefer the later and source things like one would source an essay or something. They're essentially going "find it yourself" where as a reference, which is supposed to REFER to you to things, is supposed to go "here it is".

    Thoughts, opinions?

    • I would prefer the first option. Even though it might take us longer to find the direct source, it is definitely way more comfortable for the readers. I think the second option should only be used when a direct source isn't available.

But honestly, since I don't edit articles as much as Honeyfur/Shay do, I would prefer them to decide.

      Thanks for this topic :)

  • The Quote on the Lions Page under the "Appearance" section is incomplete.

Also, if we're going by the original version of A Gift from the Heavens then the first King and Simba would have to be seven generations or so apart, as Great-Fighter says he's the great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather of Simba.

    So it would go: 1.First (known) King (Greatx7-Grandfather) 2.King's Daughter(s) (Greatx6-Grandmother) 3.??? (Greatx5-grandfather) 4.??? (Greatx4-grandparent) 5.??? (Greatx3-grandfather) 6.??? (great-great-parent) 7.Mohatu (great-grandfather) 8.Ahadi/Uru (grandfather/mother) 9.Mufasa (father) 10.Simba

Feel free to correct that list, Joe was pretty confusing with his "grandfather of your grandfather" nonsense. Anyway, I don't think we should be picking and choosing and that as the original version, the German texts holds more weight in terms of Canonity for being the original. Either he's "King" Joe, the First King is only Simba's Great-great-great grandfather, or he's Great-fighter and the First King is far more distant in relation. It's a bit of work (that I wouldn't mind doing myself), but I think it makes the monarchy feel more ancient and entrenched like an actual long-running Dynasty.

    Thoughts?
