Jay Rifkin is a Grammy Award and Tony Award-winning music producer, composer, and the current chairman and CEO of China Youth Media, Inc.
With his childhood friend, Hans Zimmer, Rifkin started a company named Media Ventures to which he recorded, mixed and produced music with Zimmer on many of his film scores such as Rain Man, Driving Miss Daisy, True Romance, The Power of One, and many others. After mixing and recording Zimmer's score music for The Lion King, Rifkin collaborated with Zimmer, Mark Mancina, and Lebo M on the songs for the Rhythm of the Pride Lands CD to which the songs were later used in The Lion King (musical).
