Skirmish with Timon[]

When Timon wandered off on his own, Snarl and his pack stalked him in the hopes of scoring an easy meal. Timon caught their scent while climbing up a mound of rocks and saw the pack swarming at the base of the pile. Snarl guided the pack in their hunt, snapping at them to not make a difficult task out of catching one small meerkat. He then reminded the pack that he would be the one to take the first bite of their prey.
As Timon scrambled to escape the cape dogs, he spotted a sliver in the rocks and attempted to hide inside it, as he believed that he would be out of reach of the pack. Furious, Snarl and his followers began to dig Timon free, and Snarl forced his muzzle inside the crevice.
Just then, there was a rockslide, and the pack scrambled away in terror. Snarl and a few cape dogs managed to escape, but some of the pack got crushed by the falling rocks. A wounded Snarl mourned the loss of his packmates and began to climb up the pile again to enact his revenge on Timon. As he was climbing, one of his packmates warned him of Pumbaa and Simba's approach. Undeterred, Snarl tried to rally his pack, but they scattered in fear, and Snarl was left to brave the new arrivals on his own.
Snarl stubbornly continued to dig his way toward Timon, who was unaware of the lingering danger. Once face to face with the meerkat, Snarl taunted him and relished the chance to kill him himself. However, Timon smacked him with a sharp rock, which gave Pumbaa and Simba time to reach the pair. Faced with a warthog and a lion, Snarl began to back away, but a rock fell on him from above, crushing and killing him.[1]
Physical appearance[]
Snarl was a cape dog with a thick black coat. His back and face were russet, and his front legs were spotted with white patches. Like his packmates, he sported large rounded ears, a pink nose, and rows of sharp yellow teeth. His eyebrows were dark and thick, and he had pale green eyes with yellow sclerae. He had a torn left ear.[1]

Snarl was commanding and fierce. Despite his leadership skills, he did not inspire enough loyalty in his packmates to rally them against formidable and dangerous foes. Even without the assistance of his pack, Snarl was daring, ruthless, and aggressive, and worked tirelessly to enact revenge on those who had wronged him. After the death of his packmates, Snarl made every effort to make Timon pay for the deed, at the cost of his own life.[1]
