No Worries: A New Story About Simba is a book inspired by The Lion King. It was published by Golden Books in June of 1995.

Plot[]

No Worries: A New Story About Simba begins by introducing Simba, the self-exiled prince of the Pride Lands, and his two friends, Timon and Pumbaa. At the start of the story, Pumbaa has slipped on a banana peel and crashed into Timon, creating a huge mess. The friends are too lazy to clean the clearing, so they set off in search of a new home.

Along their traipse through the jungle, they try several different homes, including a tree, a cave, and a lair of bats. Eventually, the three grow so thirsty that they're forced to stop for a drink of water. At the stream, Timon finds a log where he and Pumbaa quickly curl up and fall asleep. Though Simba suggests they move it, he eventually gives in to his friends' advice to not worry and falls asleep with them beside the stream.

The three friends are jolted awake when the log rolls into the stream, and Simba lashes out, gripping a tree branch with his claws. Timon and Pumbaa hop out, but before they can help Simba, the branch snaps in his claws and he's carried away downstream. Under Timon's instruction, Pumbaa jumps into the river and tows Simba to shore, where the three friends agree to clean up their old home.
