Mwoga is a male vulture. He is a member of Mzingo's parliament.
Initially, Mwoga and his parliament were enemies of the Lion Guard, with whom they had frequent clashes. The vultures eventually joined the army of the resurrected spirit of Scar, whose goal was to take over the Pride Lands. Eventually, the Pride Landers defeated the Army of Scar, and Jasiri became the queen of the Outlands.

Early life[]
Mwoga lived in the Outlands. He was a member of Mzingo's parliament.[1]

When Ono was flying over the Pride Lands, desperate to prove that his injured eye was not an impediment, he bumped into Mwoga, who observed the chaos of the Lion Guard down below and decided to report back to Mzingo. Once in the Outlands, Mwoga joined his parliament and reported what he had seen of Ono's hurt vision. Janja happened to overhear the conversation and hatched a plan to trick the Lion Guard while Ono was out of commission.[1]
Attack on Fuli[]

When Fuli overexerted herself on a mission, she became so exhausted that she collapsed beneath a tree. In its branches, Mwoga and his parliament sang "All Hail the Vultures". Afterward, they spotted Fuli resting beneath their tree and resolved to make her into their next meal. The parliament descended and started to attack Fuli, who was too weak to defend herself. Just in time, the Lion Guard arrived and fought off the vultures. Kion then used the Roar of the Elders to blow the parliament away. Once the vultures were gone, Fuli thanked her friends for saving her and promised to wait for them on the next mission.[2]
Attack on the baby baboon[]

While on patrol, the Lion Guard spotted Mwoga and his parliament circling in the distance. Upon arriving on the scene, they witnessed the vultures attempting to kill a baby baboon. Together, the team rescued the baby baboon and chased off the vultures.

After the rescue, Fuli was tasked with returning the baby baboon to his troop. Along the way, she spotted Mwoga and his parliament once more and so hid in a field of tall grass with the baby baboon. Despite this, the vultures caught sight of and overheard the baby baboon, and Fuli was forced to show herself. In an attempt to fool the vultures, she claimed to simply be out hunting. Mzingo asked what she was hunting. Fuli commented that Mzingo was looking rather plump, which made the parliament take off in a hurry.
With the vultures gone, Fuli returned the baby baboon to his home. However, the vultures closed in for an attack, and Fuli climbed up the cliffs to save the troop. Mzingo ordered Mwoga and another vulture to get the baby baboon while he handled Fuli. However, the two were thwarted by several baboons, who tossed fruit at them. Mzingo was also defeated, after which he called for his parliament to retreat.[3]

While out flying, Mwoga encountered a harrier hawk and began to follow her. As the hawk was flying, she noticed Mwoga trailing her and demanded to know if he was following her. Mwoga admitted that he was, for hawks tended to leave behind leftovers that vultures could pick over. He then politely introduced himself to her. The hawk introduced herself as Mpishi and explained that she was hoping to sample some new food in the Pride Lands. She lamented how the Lion Guard had continually interrupted her hunts, then attempted to strike up a partnership with Mwoga. The two briefly argued over whether fresh meat or carrion was better. Afterward, Mwoga agreed to help her avoid the Lion Guard.

Meanwhile, Ono searched the area for the baby hamerkop he had been babysitting and spotted her wandering near the river. Fuli attempted to save the baby hamerkop from danger but arrived too late to stop her from falling into the raging water. With no time to lose, the Lion Guard and the baby's mother, Kulinda, pursued the baby hamerkop down the river, only to watch in horror as Mpishi grasped the baby in her talons and took off for the safety of the skies.
Mpishi worked with Mwoga to keep the baby hamerkop from falling back into the Lion Guard's grasp. From the ground, Bunga worked out how he could help Kulinda and Ono, and climbed a tree in order to reach the feuding birds. He managed to knock Mwoga from the sky, but Mpishi only took the baby hamerkop from him and swooped out of harm's way once more, leaving him in the dust.[4]
Army of Scar[]
Defeat in the volcano[]
Mwoga and the rest of the Army of Scar cornered the Lion Guard in the volcano. Kion used the Roar of the Elders to clear a path to escape. Scar sent Mzingo and his parliament after the Lion Guard. However, the rest of the team arrived just in time to fend off the vultures, and Kion used his Roar to ensure that they were not delayed again.[5]
Occupation of Kilio Valley[]

After Kilio Valley burned to the ground, Scar ordered Mwoga and the rest of the Army of Scar to remain in the valley. Janja attempted to appoint himself the leader of the army, but Kiburi, Mzingo, and Reirei protested vehemently. The villains began to compete over who should be in charge of the valley. They continued to argue as the Lion Guard looked on.[6]

Upon spotting Ono in the Outlands, Mwoga and Mzingo chased him out but failed to catch him. Mwoga then warned him that the vultures would, sooner or later, catch him.[7]
Fire attack[]

Mwoga and his parliament drop fiery sticks on the Pride Lands.
When fiery sticks began raining from the sky, Anga and Ono took off to investigate the problem. As they flew higher and higher, Ono was forced to retreat, while Anga soared ahead. Once above the clouds, she spotted Mwoga and his parliament dropping fiery sticks onto the Pride Lands below.
Anga reported back to the Lion Guard, and Kion suggested they rally the kingdom's birds to help stop the vultures. Ono suggested they ask Hadithi for help. Hadithi agreed and led his followers to where the Lion Guard had gathered to plan their next move.

Once the birds and the Lion Guard had rallied, Hadithi inspired his followers to help stop the vultures. Together, they took off to thwart another attack, this time over the Maumivu Thorn Patch. During the fight, Anga got wounded, and Hadithi and Ono rushed to save her. However, Hadithi got attacked by vultures and ended up falling into the thorn patch below.
With no Hadithi to rally the birds, Ono took up the mantle of leader and managed to lead the birds in another assault. They rounded up the vultures, and Kion used his Roar to banish them back to the Outlands.[8]
Battle for the Pride Lands[]
Seasons later, the Pride Landers invaded the Outlands and fought the Army of Scar. During the battle, Hadithi and Mwenzi defeated Mwoga. After an extended fight, the Pride Landers triumphed over Scar's army, and Kion vanquished Scar's spirit. With Scar gone, Jasiri became the queen of the Outlands, and the vultures submitted to her leadership.[9]

Ono leads the vultures in an attack on Tazama.
When the Lion Guard returned to the Pride Lands with Jasiri, Mwoga and his parliament greeted her happily. Jasiri asked for the vultures to help in the fight against Zira, and they agreed. As the combined groups neared the border of the Pride Lands, Vitani and her Lion Guard approached and attacked. In the midst of the battle, Ono directed the vultures in an attack on Vitani's scout, Tazama.
Eventually, Kiara appeared and stopped the battle, informing Kion that the Outsiders had joined the Pride Landers. With the conflict ended, Mwoga and his parliament departed.[10]
Physical appearance[]
Like most vultures, Mwoga is thin and gangly. He has dark blue feathers, a ring of white feathers around his neck, and a red-tipped beak. His eyes are black.[1]
Personality and traits[]
Mwoga is sneaky and devious, and jumps at opportunities to take advantage of the Lion Guard's weaknesses.[1] He is somewhat of a coward and prefers to attack only if his prey is unable to fight back.[2] When it comes to food, Mwoga prefers carrion over fresh meat and likes to tail hawks so as to pick over their leftovers.[4] Despite his former enmity with the Lion Guard, Mwoga bears them no ill will and is content to serve Jasiri.[10]
