A Snake in the Grass
Edit
- "And besides, what does it matter if Beba is good at some things? You're good at some other things that Beba isn't good at, I bet."
- —Pumbaa to Kopa
Prior to A Snake In The Grass, Beba befriends Afua, a lion cub who's best friends with Kopa, the prince of the Pride Lands. The two become fast friends and Afua starts to ditch Kopa in order to spend more time with Beba. The cub becomes somewhat obsessed with the cheetah's natural abilities in running and climbing, and Kopa's feelings are hurt. Afua often compares him to Beba and Kopa is ultimately jealous of the attention the cheetah cub is getting. Kopa goes to Timon and Pumbaa for advice, and they tell him a story from when they were still living in the jungle with Simba. After hearing the story, Kopa realizes that Afua may not know how much hurt he's inflicting on his friend by comparing him to Beba. In better spirits, Kopa scampers off to talk with Afua.
